A rare illness associated with stress, medication and chronic pain caused 47-year-old Mariló’s hair to thin and fall out. In a seemingly hopeless search for a solution to her hair problem, she finally came across MicroLines by Hairdreams.

The seemingly hopeless search for a solution

Mariló – a hairdresser and salon owner herself – suffers from a rare vascular disease called polyneuropathy, which damages peripheral nerves. But it wasn’t just the disease itself that was getting to her, but also the medication and the increased stress. Eventually, her beloved hair began to fall out, taking a toll on her self-esteem. Looking in the mirror every day became more and more of a burden for her. Mariló set out to find a suitable solution to her hair problem; she tried out several wigs, none of which made her particularly happy. With each failed attempt, her hope of finding the right solution grew smaller and smaller. Every day she stood in her salon styling her customers’ hair, while she herself became more and more dissatisfied with her own hair situation.
