Mariló – hairstylist and salon owner – suffers from a rare vascular disease called polyneuropathy, which damages peripheral nerves. But it wasn’t just the disease itself that was getting to her, the medication and increased stress were also giving her no peace of mind. The combination of medication and stress took it’s toll, her hair that she loved began to fall out, leading to a diminished sense of self-worth. Daily looks in the mirror became more and more disheartening. Mariló started looking for a suitable solution to her hair problem and resorted to several wigs, none of which made her happy. With each failed attempt, her hope of finding a suitable solution diminished. Every day she stood in her salon and styled the hair of her clients, while she herself became more and more unhappy with her own hair.
